Currently Untitled

I'm changing the purpose of this blog somewhat. It's now going to be for my journey through the enormous world of knitting. I'll still be selling some of the things I knit, but I'll also be sharing any great patterns and charts that I find.

Why am I doing this? Because I found out that when I'm doing something for somebody, I make it take forever, and find whatever task it is (even if it's something that I usually enjoy) the dullest thing on the planet.

I'll slowly get through my backlog of stuff, and keep knitting things for my friends & family (VSers, that includes you!). But mostly this blog's going to consist of random things I decide to knit.

Ooops

Okay. So, I'm sorry that I disappeared and ceased to be knitting for a long while there. I lacked the motivation to do anything except watch Doctor Who and browse the internet. But I'm back now, and knittier than ever with some new designs under my hat. So, sorry again. I'll be posting some stuff soonish.

Children's Panda hat: $10

This hat was originally made to be an adult hat, but I miss judged some stuff in my pattern, and it came out to small. It would probably fit a baby or toddler (I have to re-write my hat pattern, clearly)

Send me an email if you want it. I can have it sent off this week.

Welcome

Hi everyone. This is my very first post on what is now my online store for all my knits!

First things first. I'm an Australian girl with far too much free time on her hands. But, that doesn't mean that I finish knitting quickly. I have school and work (this isn't my job... Yet) so I can only really knit in my spare time.

Along those same lines, I am obviously going to be slower knitting a pattern I am unfamiliar with. But I am currently knitting a viking helmet, and I think, by the end, it's going to have taken me about 2 weeks.

I will happily do custom orders in addition to the stuff I'm selling pre-made. Just tell me what you want, colours etc. and (after a little bit of email correspondence getting your measurements and such) I will make it and send it off.

I mail to anywhere in the world. Seriously, as long as you've got a mail box, I'm happy to send it to you. I usually assume my knits weigh under 500 grams (unless they clearly weigh more) and will give you the postage costs for that. If it weighs more, I'll cover the extra costs.

I've decided that I'm going to charge for number of balls of wool used. So, if you want a really long scarf or multi coloured hat, it's going to cost more than a solid colour pair of gloves. This seems to me like the best way to charge you, since I'm doing this because I enjoy it, so there's no sense in charging for my time.

If you want something that you need by a certain date, I'll move your knit up the queue. But you have to give me time to make it and mail it. Don't ask me you make a hat only a week before you need it.

That's it for now. I have a rather large queue at the moment, so I'll have plenty of things to post, but not many things available to buy for a little while.
